A cherry blossom is the flower of any of several trees of genus Prunus,particularly the Japanese Cherry, Prunus serrulata, which is sometimes called sakura Flower. During World War II, the cherry blossom was used to motivate the Japanese people. In Japan, cherry blossoms also symbolize clouds due to their nature of blooming en masse. Most Japanese schools and public buildings have cherry blossom trees outside of them.
