The Eiffel Tower is an iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris, named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower. The tower stands 320 meters tall, about the same height as an 81-story building. The tower has become the most prominent symbol of both Paris and France, often in the establishing shot of films set in the city.
